ARE YOU NAKED... PART 3

Why Do Bad Things Happen To Seemingly Good And Innocent People?

PART 3.

OUR ASSOCIATIONS

AND YES, THAT MOST CERTAINLY INCLUDES ILLNESS, DISEASES AND PLAGUES!

Brothers and sisters, when Adam and Eve sinned, the introduced DEATH into God's creation. What most do not realize is the most certainly includes SICKNESS and DISEASE too!

Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,  Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.  But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord , and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.

But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.  Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.

So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.  And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.

Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?  And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the Lord , the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.

Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the Lord , because he had told them.  Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.

And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.  Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.

Wherefore they cried unto the Lord , and said, We beseech thee, O Lord , we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O Lord , hast done as it pleased thee.

So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.  Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the Lord , and made vows.  Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

DID THIS REALLY HAPPEN?

But like Jonah, according to the word of God, many life events are not simply accidents!

Solomon told us Ecclesiates 9: 11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

(Often times brothers and sisters, illness and different circumstances can and will happen to everyone of us!)

But Solomon also wrote;

Verse 12 For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

Then it is written in Amos 3: 6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

The rewards (for our behavior) be they good or evil, are in no small part recompensed according to our actions, beliefs and our associations!

Our willingness or lack thereof to follow God's established rules, whose compliance is insisted upon by our parent, creator, THE WORD OF GOD - JESUS!

FACT IS, SO MANY PEOPLE ARE DECEIVED SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO BE.

MOST OF US KNOW WHEN SOMEONE IS JUST PLAIN BOGUS!

DON'T WE?

Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

Isaiah 28:15 KJV

The Lord Told Us!

Psalms 1: 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

2  Corinthians 6: 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

But our associations place us in danger as well, even by the hands of those who are our leaders!

LET'S READ ABOUT THEM!

1 AHAZ was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the Lord, like David his father: 2 For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for Baalim. 3 Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel. 4 He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

5 Wherefore the Lord his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.

6 For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah an hundred and twenty thousand in one day, which were all valiant men; because they had forsaken the Lord God of their fathers.

7 And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah the king's son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah that was next to the king. 8 And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.

9 But a prophet of the Lord was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the Lord God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven.

10 And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the Lord your God?

11 Now hear me therefore, and deliver the captives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the Lord is upon you.

12 Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,

13 And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the Lord already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel. 14 So the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the princes and all the congregation. 15 And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria.

16 At that time did king Ahaz send unto the kings of Assyria to help him. 17 For again the Edomites had come and smitten Judah, and carried away captives. 18 The Philistines also had invaded the cities of the low country, and of the south of Judah, and had taken Beth–shemesh, and Aijalon, and Gederoth, and Soco with the villages thereof, and Timnah with the villages thereof, Gimzo also and the villages thereof: and they dwelt there.

19 For the Lord brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the Lord.

2 Chronicles 28:1‭-‬19 KJV

Remember ACHAN and the accursed thing?

How about the King of Israel - AHAB and the King of Judah -  Jehoshaphat?

AHAB was a wicked king!

1 Kings 21: 17 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 18 Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it. 19 And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine. 25 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. 26 And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

But King Jehoshaphat entered into a covenant (agreement) wicked King Ahab.

1 Kings 22: 2 And it came to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel. 3 And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?4 And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramothgilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.

Look what happened!

Verse : 20 And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. 21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. 22 And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. 23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

SO AN EVIL SPIRIT FROM GOD CONVINCED AHAB, AND WHAT DID AHAB DO?

Check this out!

29 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead. 30 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.

[King Ahab told King Jehoshaphat to dress like a king, while he (Ahab) disguised himself! So he would not be the one captured or killed .... Jehoshaphat would!]

Did it work?

31 But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel.32 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out. 33 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.

34 And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded. 35 And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: 37So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria. 38 And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake.

Ephesians 5: 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Are You Familiar With Husband and Wife Ananias and Sapphira?

Acts 5: 1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. 5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. 6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. 8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. 9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. 10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

She lined herself up right with her husband's deception!

There's a huge lesson there sisters!!

The Lord says to obey your husband. Ephesians 5: 22-24. But if your husband goes bogus (sins) and walks contrary to the word of God. you might want to think twice about following him!!

Same applies to parents of children, and children of Parents. You know the story of King Saul we read about in Part 2? Well there's even more to that story. Saul's sons died along with him. Including Jonathan that King David loved? Jonathan knew the Lord had removed his hedge from around his father Saul. He and his brothers Abinadab, and Malchishua died along with their father Saul. After the Lord removed his holy angel (hedge) from Saul!

SAUL WAS THEN SPIRITUALLY NAKED!

SAUL HAD CROSS THE LINE, THE EVIL ANGEL FROM GOD JUMPED HIM!

1 Samuel 31: 1 Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa. 2 And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul's sons. 3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was sore wounded of the archers.

4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him. 6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.

Saul Died And His Sons With Him, Because Of Saul's Wickedness!!

1 Chronicles 10: 13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it; 14 And inquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.

But by the actions of one man, many Israelites have died as well!

Do you know the story of Achan? He Also Got His Family Killed!!

Joshua 7: 1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.
4So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai. 5And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.
10And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? 11Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. 12Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

(ACHAN TOOK IT!)

10 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? 11 Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. 12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you. 13 Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you. 14 In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the LORD taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the LORD shall take shall come by households; and the household which the LORD shall take shall come man by man. 15 And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel.

Joshua 7:  24 And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor. 25And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. 26And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.

Achan was responsible for the death of 36 men of war! And his family! He made the entire nation of Israel NAKED!

ONE PERSON DID ALL OF THIS!

ALL

BY

HIM

SELF!

NAKED!

By the actions of a few men of the tribe of Benjamin hundreds of thousands died of the tribe of Benjamin because of the act of Sodomy, Homosexuality! Yes I said Hundreds of Thousands!

Or what about the prophet Jonah?

But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord , and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord .  But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.  Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. Jonah 1:3‭-‬17 KJV

Brothers and sisters God controls it ALL! There's no battle between good and evil. The only battle is the battle that goes on in our minds, (hearts).

Whether to do good - righteousness or whether to do evil - wickedness. If we don't follow the laws and Commandments of God, he will not place his hedge around us to protect us from Evil, or he'll remove his holy spirit (hedge) all together. As he did with the entire nation Israel, Isaiah 5: 4-5. And Evil has chased us ever since!

Lets look at how this works.

I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth.

Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

1 Corinthians 5:9‭-‬13 KJV

https://bible.com/bible/1/1co.5.9-13.KJV

Proverbs 11: 21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

Proverbs 13: 21 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.

Ecclesiastes 8: 11Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. 12Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: 13But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.

Wickedness and sin can be very appealing! We all know this! King Davis wrote;

Psalms 73: 1 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.

9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.

11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

13 Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.

14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

15 f I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.

16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

18 Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.

19 How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.

20 As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.

21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

22 So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.

Jeremiah 12: 1 Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously?
2 Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far from their reins.
3 But thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

But what says the God of Israel?

Psalms 37: 1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Psalms 37: 1Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

BUT THERE IS HOPE FOR THE WICKED!!

Ezekiel 18: 21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. 22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. 23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

BROTHERS AND SISTERS HOW DO WE CLOTHE OURSELVES SO WE CAN BE PROTECTED FROM EVIL?

Deuteronomy 30: 11For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. 12It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 13Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 14But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

15See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. 17But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; 18I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. 19I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

20That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days:

Colossians 3: 5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. 8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another,

Put On The Whole Armor Of Christ!

Ephesians 6: 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

WHY AND HOW WE SHOULD PRAY!

James 5: 16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Ephesians 4: 20 But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil. 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

CLOTHE YOURSELVES IN RIGHTEOUSNESS!

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE KEEPING OF THE LAW!

Jeremiah 17: 10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

REVELATION 16: 15 BEHOLD, I COME AS A THIEF. BLESSED IS HE THAT WATCHETH AND KEEPETH HIS GARMENTS, LEST HE WALK NAKED, AND THEY SEE HIS SHAME.

RIGHTEOUSNESS!

COMMANDMENTS - ORDINANCES
(STILL ENFORCED)

SACRIFICIAL LAW
                                                          (NAILED TO THE CROSS)

Romans 3: 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

1 Peter 4: 8 16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

ARE YOU NAKED... PART 2

Why Do Bad Things Happen To Seemingly Good And Innocent People?

PART 2.

OUR BEHAVIOR!

Each person's eternal existence is decidedly predicated on his ability and willingness to live temporarily as flesh and blood under God's dictatorship!

Not man's democracy!

Everyone who has ever been born will live forever! With God in his kingdom, or his lake of fire!

As is the case with our earthly parents, God in heaven expects us to obey him as well. But God gives us that option, and tells us to choose eternal life or eternal death.

The bible is the most published binding of Books known to man. Written in every language, in every nation on earth! In homes, businesses, and hotels.

In Braille, on cassette, DVD, tapes, and audio files! Written about in television movies, theaters, musicals and plays. If you have not read it, it is time you did! We will all be judged according to what is written therein! Not knowing will not be an excuse!

Revelation 20: 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

The Lord said his gospel would be preached throughout all the world as a witness! Witness? Yes, against us!

Matthew 24: 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

For those of us who have read and believed, if we continue to willfully sin, after learning the truth, (THE WORD OF GOD), we can forget about living righteously.

Again, when we deliberately transgress God's laws, after receiving the knowledge of God and entering into the Covenant (Baptism) in (Jesus) name not title; we can forget about living righteously and living eternally in the Lord's Kingdom!

It AIN'T gonna happen!!

Hebrew 6: 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Because like the children of Israel, mankind too continues to disregard or break the agreement (covenant-commandments) God has put in place for every person to have access to the family of God!

You have read Israel's history and or continue to see  the results of Israel's disobedience. The Lord's curses poured out upon Israel because of the sins committed by our ancestors and maintained even today!

The punishment and subsequent captivity of the Lord's Priesthood nation as a consequence of our transgressions of God's laws statutes and ordinances.

1 Corinthians 10: 11 Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

After Israel condemned Jesus and called for the Romans to kill the Lord, they uttered this!

Matthew 27: 24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. 25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

BUT!

Romans 11: 11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

This life is (not) the last stage of man's journey! The Bible is the blueprint for man's eternal salvation. The ultimate reward ...... Becoming God and living forever.

Check this out!

Deuteronomy 30: 15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; 18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.  call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

That is not simply this temporary life, but more importantly life eternal as a part of the Godhead family! But we currently receive the rewards for obedience or disobedience as well!

Brothers and sisters, both the Old (and) New Covenants - testaments, are permanently established on being obedient to the Ten Commandments!

Exodus 34: 27And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. 28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

This same covenant (agreement) that Israel entered into, is available to all men, through the word of God! Compliance is what (begins) the Adoption - Born Again process! Remember how Moses appearance changed the more he hung around God?

Exodus 24: 29-35!

Exodus 33: 11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend.

GOD IS A SPIRIT! SPIRITS DO NOT PROCREATE!!

ISRAEL IS THE LORD'S NAME!!

Check this out!

Exodus 4: 22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: 23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

An entire nation of people (First Born)!

Every man, woman and child from every nation must become the adopted of God! Spiritual Israel! Which is the purpose for the Word of God, and his Commandments!

God is creating GODS!!

AS IT GOES FOR ISRAEL, SO IT GOES FOR ALL NATIONS!!

Amos 3: 1Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, 2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

(Them Only?)

What about the other descendants of Noah? Japheth the Gentiles (Whites), Edomites -Esau (Jacob's fraternal twin brother the assumed Jew), Moabites (Jordanian), Hamite (African), Ishmaelite (Arab) .........?

We just read, the God of Israel does not know them! The Lord doesn't deal with mankind as his children unless we enter into an agreement (covenant) with him! The Baptism, (and) keep his laws! Like he has done with his first born! His Priesthood nation!

1 Corinthians 10: 1Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

THE BAPTISM!

So brothers and sisters, the God of Israel does not hear our prayers when we sin against him!

Proverbs 15: 8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

That sacrifice represents our prayers!

Psalms 141: Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Or, Proverbs 28: 7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father. 8 He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor. 9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

That's how serious this is!

But for the Righteous,  (keepers of the laws, statutes and ordinances of God)!

Proverbs 16: 6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. 7 When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

Psalms 37: 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
25I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 26He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. 27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. 28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. 29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

Isaiah 59: 1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. 4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

James 5: 16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Do you remember what righteousness is? We read about it in Part 1. That's right, keeping those same commandments that Elisabeth, Paul, Moses, David, Jeremiah, and Abraham who the God of Israel call the father of the faithful kept.

The same commandments that everyone now insists you Don't Need To Keep!!

Romans 8: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

To be clear, once again family; THE ONLY LAW CHRIST ENDED WAS THE ANIMAL  SACRIFICIAL LAW!

Colossians 2: 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.

Which trespasses?

Tresspasses that are past! The sins we as individuals  committed before we found the knowledge of God! His Commandments, Ordinances, and Statutes, received the covenant- Baptism and to keep them!

Ordinances that was against us?

Hebrews 10: 1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Romans 3: 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus

Colossians 3: 25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for ther wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

Throughout the word of God we read instances where the Lord removed his hedges from around an individual or even the entire nation of Israel and they were defeated, destroyed or suffered great loss or injury. Either because they did not obey the commands of God, were unequally yoked with unbelievers or did not humble themselves and obey the God of Israel!

And that same destruction or injury occurs in the world today! Because without the commandments and ordinances of the Lord of host, the God of Israel, we are NAKED!

Do you think that blow out that caused your car to crash was a coincidence?
Do you suppose you just happened to slip and you fell down the stairs and broke your neck?
Or how did evil randomly pick you or any other person to rob or shoot?
Do you suppose those evil wicked and wild men the Lord spoke about in Genesis 16:11-12 just happened to picked those buildings to destroy and killed all of those good and seemingly innocent people?

I've Got No Dog In This Fight!

(When we are NAKED, The Lord Can and Will Hurt Us when we sin against him! And God has many ways he can do it!)

Look at what he did to Israel because of their disobedience!

Isaiah 5: 5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:

7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

Just like the Lord removed his Hedge from Job, Saul, and others ....., the Lord of Host the God of Israel removed his hedge from around his Priesthood Nation because of their continued disobedience. They became NAKED and Israel went into captivity as male and female slaves. We know the story don't we?

Example: Let's read what happened to King David.

The Lord's commandment in Israel was the (entire nation) of Israel was never to be numbered!

Numbers 1: 47 But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them. 48 For the LORD had spoken unto Moses, saying, 49 Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:

The Lord (caused) David to sin against him so the Lord could punish the nation of Israel for their transgressions!

2 Samuel 24: 1 And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.

10 And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly. 11 For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,
12 Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee. 13 So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.

Which punishment did David choose and why?

Verse 14 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

Ok, so let's look further!

1. GOD MOVED DAVID AGAINST ISRAEL, BY CAUSING DAVID TO SIN  SO GOD
    COULD PUNISH ISRAEL!
2. THEN GOD TOLD DAVID TO CHOOSE HIS PUNISHMENT!
3. MAN WAS ONE OF THE OPTIONS GOD WAS GOING TO USE TO EXACT
    PUNISHMENT ON ISRAEL!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT, I'LL REPEAT THAT AGAIN!

THE LORD CAUSED DAVID TO BREAK HIS LAW, SO HE COULD PUNISH ISRAEL!

(Did you get that?)

But let's see just how he moved David to do this!

1 Chronicles 21: 1 And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel. 2 And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it. 3 And Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? why then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?

(THE GOD OF ISRAEL SENT SATAN TO PROVOKE DAVID!)

Isaiah 45: 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

The Lord caused Amos to write; 3: 6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

Indeed! When evil shows up anywhere, there is a reason!

1Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Or simply put ..... the God of Israel has sent it!

Let's take a look.

The God of Israel tells us in Psalms 34: 7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

David also wrote in Psalms 111: 10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments:

(A good understanding of what? His word!)

We know that Jesus sends angels to instruct, protect, guide, correct, comfort or destroy.  We also know (all) of the angels do as the Lord commands, the Holy Spirit  and Unholy Spirits too!
Psalms 103: 20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Why?

Hebrews 1: 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

(ALL THE ANGELS!)

Verse 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

(ALL MINISTERING SPIRITS?)

 YES!

Remember Satan brought a third part of an innumerable number of angels with him when  Jesus had the angel Michael throw him out of heaven to the earth.)

Christ told us:

Luke 10: 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Jesus beheld Satan fall because not only was he there when Satan fell, Jesus created all the angels and Jesus had Satan and the angels that followed him thrown OUT!

Why?

Ezekiel 28: 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Yup that was Satan. And yup he was in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve right?

Verse :14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Jesus found iniquity in Satan (Lucifer-Bringer of Light), God could not use him for good so God uses him for Evil!

Jesus is the Word!

John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Revelation 12: 3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:

:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

(Satan is angry and he has a designated period of time to work.)

Hebrews 12: 22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

That's a third part of an innumerable company of Angels.

IMAGINE THAT!

How do you get a third part from a number innumerable?

That's the Mind of God!

And yet we have the nerve to question the God of Israel, the Great I AM? Some pastors  even attempt to hijack his name and title themselves Reverend! Laughable, you gotta question their logic!

Psalms 111: 9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

Yes, that is the Lord's name too!

Moving right along!

Those angels are all Right Here On The EARTH!! We can't see them, they're under chains of darkness! 2 Peter 2: 4.

One could be sitting right next to you right now.

Brothers and sisters to Minister doesn't just mean to preach! We're going to read that the Lord works through man and his angels that he created. ALL OF THEM! Good angels and Evil angels!
If we trespass God's word, God, sends either his angels or man (species-man or woman), to deal with us! Hopefully as correction, not death!

Psalms 140: 4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

So, now that we know how God is running things lets check out what happens when we find ourselves according to Moses;

NAKED!

(The Lord runs it all!)

Satan said to Jesus Luke 4: 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

That's right! SATAN CAN BLESS YOU TOO!

Who delivered this power unto Satan?

GOD!

WHY?

TO DEAL WITH MAN!

Remember, SATAN IS THE DECEIVER AND THE ACCUSER!!

But we are not innocent in the things that happen to us. We participate (work) towards our own destruction. The same way we participate (work) towards our own salvation!
Remember Israel (sinned) against God! So God rewarded them for their trespass (sin)! Because that's what they chose!

We're going to read how to choose!

The God of Israel has a reason why he sends cursings and blessings! GOOD or EVIL!!!

As was the case with Cain and Able! Did Able sin? Why was he murdered? Remember what Jesus said about the blind man?

John 9: 1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

And it is even deeper than that!

GOD'S WILL! GOD'S GLORY!
PART OF A MUCH BIGGER PLAN!
TODAY, LET'S DEAL WITH THE EVIL!!!

Here we go!

The Lord God of Israel speaks sometimes in Parables and even metaphorically. But those that serve and follow Jesus (his saints), know and understand God's word, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS AND WORSHIP JESUS! Why? He has revealed it to them. He told his disciples (followers);

Matthew 13: 10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? 11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. 13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

They Did Not and Don't Want To Hear, They Did Not and Don't Want To See!
Again, sisters and brothers, If You Are Not Keeping The Commandments You're Not Living Righteously. That makes you;

NAKED!

You wouldn't leave your house without your clothes would you? Well being Naked according to the Word of God is being unclothed even within your own home and fully dressed! We're going to read how this form of Nakedness can have very deadly consequences for ANY and EVERYONE!

Lets began with Israel at the mount which was at Sini.
The God of Israel had totally destroyed Egypt in front of the  Israelites, with them right there LOOKIN AT THE WHOLE THING!

Jesus took Israel from Egypt, split the Red Sea, and brought Israel across safely, killed the Egyptians that pursued them and brought Israel to the Mount Sinai. Then God fed them with Manna from Heaven and even Quail and entered into an agreement with Israel.

After the Lord showed Israel his power and strength, after all of that ... this occurred!

Exodus 19: 3And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; 4Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. 5Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
7And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him. 8And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

Israel entered into an agreement with God! A Covenant with the Creator of Heaven and Earth, all mankind!

The Lord said;

Ecclesiastes 5: 4When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. 5Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. 6Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

So while Moses was yet receiving the commandments which the covenant (agreement) is based upon, Exodus 34: 28 we read that earlier. While Moses was yet confirming the words of Israel to the Lord, Aaron the priest accomplished this! Just like many pastors do today!

Exodus 32: 7And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: 8They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
9And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: 10Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them:
21 And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?
25 And when Moses saw that the people were NAKED; for Aaron had made them NAKED unto their shame among their enemies:

27 And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.
28And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

WHY WERE THE PEOPLE NAKED?
THEY TURNED AWAY FROM THE LORD!
THE LORD REMOVED HIS HEDGE!
PROTECTION - HOLY SPIRIT!

Lets take a look at who else made themselves NAKED!

How about King Saul!

1 Samuel 16: 1And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

14But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. 15And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.

So an Evil angel from who? GOD! The Lord removed his holy angel the "Lord's Hedge" and the evil angel jumped Saul and road him until his death!

Why? The Lord grew tired of Saul because Saul continually tresspassed the word of God!

Read 1 Samuel 15!

SAUL MADE HIMSELF NAKED BY NOT KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD!

Why, because he didn't OBEY the Lord! And the same law applies to us today!

Are you starting to get the picture?

Lets look at Job!

Job 1: 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 7And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? 9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. 11But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

12And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

14And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: 15And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 16While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

(Fire from where? From whom?)

(From the God of Israel!)

The Lord had blessed Job, and his household! Keep in mind Achan and his family?

Job 2: 1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

(That's right all of the Angels report to God! Satan too! Remember they do as they are told!!)

All Sent forth to MINISTER  (Hebrews 1: 14)

2And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 3And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
4And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. 5But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. 6And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.

(Satan couldn't do a thing to Job unless The God of Israel removed his hedges from around him.)

But let's keep reading

7So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
9Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. 10But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

If we continued reading, we would see Job lost everything. But God restored him with twice as much as he had before.

Lets look at one more! I want to really drive home this point!

This is the God of Israel speaking to his Priesthood nation! You know the nation he entered into a covenant with, the nation still in captivity today?

Exodus 23: 20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. 21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him. 22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

(Obey his voice and do all that I speak?)

Indeed!

23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

(This is that comforter! John 14: 26)

24Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

Let's see what Israel did!

Judges 2: 1 And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.

But didn't the Lord tell them that?

YES!

Remember Exodus 23: 22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak.

Verse 2 And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: BUT YE HAVE NOT OBEYED MY VOICE: why have ye done this? 3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you. 4 And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

Isaiah 63: 8 For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.
9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

Remember the (VOWS) we read about?

Ecclesiastes 5: 4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. 5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. 6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands? 7 For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.

Proverbs 16: 3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. 4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. 5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. 7 When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. 8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

THE GOD OF ISRAEL WILL DESTROY US BECAUSE OF OUR DISOBEDIENCE-SIN!

RIGHTEOUSNESS!

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk NAKED, and they see his shame.
