I've read where some suggest (through ignorance of the scriptures), that the statement “and no man shall buy you means that the Trans-Atlantic slave disqualifies “black" people from being the children of Israel.
The Lord did (not) say that the Children of Israel would offer themselves for sale. The prophet Isaiah says We SOLD ourselves! By continually sinning against the laws, statutes and ordinances of GOD, we have placed ourselves in perpetualized captivity.
But if the issue of whether or not the Children of Israel were actually bought and sold is unclear, I submit that anyone questioning that (biblical) fact focus on the part of the verse that says “there ye shall be sold!”
